Prayerfully read the passages and answer the following questions.
- Paul again defends the law, saying that it is not at fault for our sin. What does he proceed to say is at fault?
- Does verse 20 give us an excuse to sin? Why or why not?
- Is the deliverance described in verses 24-25a present or future?
- Explain the picture that Paul is concluding with in the second half of verse 25 as you understand it. How does this correlate with the 2 Cor. Passage?
- If there are two separate wills at war within each of us, how does the Scripture describe (in the additional reading) sanctification should look like? Describe it as you understand it practically.
