- In verses 1-6, Paul makes an analogy comparing marriage with our relationship to the law and to Christ. Try to make the same point that Paul is making using a different analogy. 😉
- How do you understand verse 6? Explain why you think the new way is better than the old way.
- Why is it important for us to be reminded that we are dead to the law?
- In verses 7-12 Paul defends the holiness and goodness of the law itself. What was the laws original purpose? And what eventually caused the law to be associated with a danger for us?
- Now that God has created a new and living way to guide us to Himself, what purpose does the law fill in that purpose?
