Romans 6:15-23

Please read the passages and prayerfully answer the following questions.
Also Read: Galatians 5:16-23, Matthew 6:24

  1. Is it possible to attain God’s saving righteousness without a life transformation? What in this passage leads to believe one way or the other?
  2. Using this passage, what is a good litmus test for whether or not we are walking in righteousness?
  3. Since we have become “Slaves of Righteousness” do we need to be intentional about pursuing righteousness any longer? Explain your answer based on the Romans passage.
  4. Does the enemy try to convince you that you are STILL a slave of sin? What can you do practically to actively renew your mind in the truth of your status as God’s slave?
  5. Based on verses 22-23, is salvation a gift or something attained through diligent work?
